Plaster Mold Making + Slip Casting Workshop

This beginner-friendly workshop offers a hands-on introduction to plaster mold making and porcelain slip casting. No previous experience is required.

Using a small bowl model provided by us, you’ll learn how to create a one-part plaster mold from start to finish. We’ll guide you through preparing the model, mixing and pouring plaster, understanding timing, and safely releasing the finished mold.

You’ll also explore porcelain slip casting using our pre-made molds. Experiment with natural and coloured porcelain slips as you cast your own espresso cups and learn how plaster molds are used to create ceramic forms.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your handmade plaster mold, along with the espresso cups you cast during class.
