Caitlin Prince gratefully acknowledges that she resides and practices ceramics on the traditional lands and the unceded territories of the Coast Salish people — səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musquem) Nations.Caitlin attended Emily Carr University with a focus in sculpture and ceramics and uses a combination of hand-building and wheel throwing to produce her own work. Whether you have played around before, or are completely new to ceramics, our beginners hand-building class is an excellent way to learn the basics to make some cool objects. Caitlin will introduce you to a number of tools and techniques including coil building, slab building, pot pinching, and DIY slump molds. Each class will focus on a different technique, and will also allow time to expand on skills previously learned. Questions and suggestions are encouraged!
